Kentucky Conservation Funding Deadline

Kentucky farmers and landowners interested in financial and technical assistance for conservation practices have a September 25 application deadline through a Regional Conservation Partnership Program led by Grow Appalachia and the Organic Association of Kentucky in partnership with USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service.

The project is bringing more than $3.8 million into Kentucky to support farmers and landowners who adopt conservation practices that improve soil health and weather resilience. Eligible practices can include cover crops, riparian forest buffers, pollinator habitat and other conservation work.

Apply Through a Local NRCS Office

Farmers and landowners must submit their applications through their local USDA NRCS office before the deadline. Grow Appalachia and OAK staff can also provide one-on-one technical assistance with conservation planning, financial-assistance applications and implementation guidance.

Grow Appalachia notes that farmers who applied in spring 2026 but did not receive funding may apply again for this fall funding cycle.
