Tennessee Agricultural Enterprise Fund Deadline

The Tennessee Department of Agriculture has set October 10 as the next application deadline for the Agricultural Enterprise Fund. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. Central.

The competitive fund supports projects that strengthen Tennessee agriculture, food and forestry businesses. Eligible projects must fit at least one of four program categories, including increasing farm income and expanding access to markets. The program can also support projects that add value, expand processing or help create new agricultural markets.

Maximum Award Nears $500,000

The current maximum payout is $499,999. The department says priority will be given to projects in at-risk counties, distressed counties and counties adjoining those areas.

Farmers, agricultural businesses and other eligible applicants considering a project should review the official program requirements carefully before submitting. Because the deadline is stated in Central time, applicants in the Eastern time zone should account for the one-hour difference when filing online.
