TrueEarn Master Beef Producer Certification
The Northeast Tennessee Master Beef Producer Course will be held October 15-16 at the Clyde Austin 4-H Center in Greeneville. The program combines current beef-cattle management education with hands-on learning and opportunities to work with Extension specialists, researchers and industry representatives.
Sessions are designed to strengthen the profitability and sustainability of beef operations. Participants also receive reference materials they can use after the course.
Certification Can Support TAEP Participation
Completing the Master Beef Producer program qualifies Tennessee producers to receive a higher percentage of financial assistance through the Tennessee Agricultural Enhancement Program. Graduates receive a certificate after completing the training requirements.
Registration and Cost
Early registration is $125 through October 9. The fee increases to $200 from October 10 through October 15. The course will be held at the Clyde Austin 4-H Center, 214 4-H Lane in Greeneville. Producers can register through UT Extension or contact the Greene County Extension Office at 423-798-1710.
