TAEP Update Meeting Comes Before the Application Window

TAEP Update Meeting participants can get last-minute guidance on the 2026-27 Tennessee Agricultural Enhancement Program before the statewide application window opens. UT Extension Unicoi County will hold the question-and-answer session Monday, September 28, at 6 p.m. at the Unicoi County Courthouse in Erwin.

The meeting is timed to help producers prepare for the October 1-7 TAEP application period. Tennessee has moved the program to an online-only application process, so farmers who plan to apply should review the current program requirements and have reliable email and internet access ready before the window opens.

What Producers Can Ask About

TAEP offers cost-share opportunities across several areas of farm investment.   Current program materials include options tied to livestock and herd health, hay storage and equipment, fencing, poultry, dairy, row crops, farming solutions, and producer diversification. Producer Diversification can include agritourism, fruits and vegetables, honey bees, horticulture, organics, and value-added agriculture.

The Unicoi County session gives Northeast Tennessee producers a local opportunity to ask questions about eligibility, application steps, and the program choices that may fit their operations.

Application Window Opens October 1

TAEP applications will be accepted online October 1-7. Producers do not need a TAEP Account to submit an application, but they do need an individual email address and an internet-connected device.   Farmers should keep the confirmation email they receive after submitting as proof that the application was successfully received.
