Burke County Extension Master Gardener Class Begins

What to expect

The 2027 Burke County Extension Master Gardener class covers plant science and prepares participants to support Extension through volunteer service.

Schedule and location

The first class is January 19, 2027, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Burke County Extension Office. The 14-week course covers 21 chapters, including botany, lawns, native plants, fruits, vegetables, insects, diseases and pesticide safety.

Registration and planning

Applications are due before 5 p.m. December 4, 2026. The fee is $70 and covers class fees, supplies and field trips. Participants may not miss three or more classes. Check the official source before traveling because organizers may update capacity, access instructions or program details.
