What to expect

Burke County is accepting applications for a 14-week Extension Master Gardener class that combines horticulture education with preparation for volunteer service.

Schedule and location

Applications must arrive before 5 p.m. Eastern on December 4, 2026, at the Burke County Extension Office in Morganton. Training starts January 19, 2027, and meets Tuesdays from 1 to 4 p.m.

Registration and planning

The application includes the Extension Master Gardener Code of Conduct. The $70 fee is not due with the application; the office will provide a later payment deadline after selection.
